Receiving Assistance Paying Your Electric Bill During COVID-19
The need for electricity in your home during a pandemic is critical, especially with furloughs, reduced work hours, online schooling, keeping cool during the heat of the summer, and so many people still working from home. The New Mexico Human Services Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the PNM Good Neighbor Fund program are working together to help low-income families pay their electric bill. Getting behind on your electric bill while you are already struggling can be worrisome or even overwhelming, but there is assistance available right now that can help low income families, but you must work with both the state’s LIHEAP program and the PNM Good Neighbor Fund program to get the most amount of money. Find out how here.
